The Mission

Cambodian Designs, founded in 2019 by Quan Thach, was created as a passion project to help raise funds for charity work in Cambodia. As a refugee, born in refugee camp Khao-I-Dang (K.I.D.), Quan understands the struggles that most Cambodian refugees faced when transitioning into life in America. The feeling of being displaced in a foreign land as a minority to adapting to the American culture. Being raised in a family that constantly relocated to where opportunity presented itself, the disconnect between him and his culture grew wider. This left a feeling of void over time. This feeling was eventually used to fuel something positive... the inception of Cambodian Designs. 

What started off as a t-shirt company connecting Cambodians across the globe has now stemmed into an all around e-commerce storefront offering all things related to Cambodian. The satisfaction of building a brand that unites a community that's scarce in numbers brings more joy than any other project. To not only help bring a community together, but to be able to work towards a vision for a greater cause - The Company's Mission.

The Company's Mission is to provide resources to educate the youth of Cambodia. 10% of all sale proceeds are used to fund books and educational materials such as pencils, notebooks, arts and crafts materials, etc. Cambodian Designs believes that education is the key to not only success, but to be able to live a purposeful life. Education is the key to unlocking the humans most important tool, their minds. To be able to make better decisions in life through logic, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
